Functions and Responsibilities of the International Institute

The International Institute – Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) is a unit directly under the University, playing a core role in implementing international training, cooperation, and integration activities. With a development orientation aligned with global education standards, the Institute continuously expands its network of partners and enhances training quality to meet learners’ needs in the context of globalization.

1. Functions

The International Institute performs the following main functions:

Organization and management of international training programs:

Implementing joint training programs with reputable universities worldwide, including models such as 2+2, 3+1, 3+0, enabling students to study in an international environment either in Vietnam or through overseas transfer.

Development of international cooperation:

Establishing and maintaining partnerships with educational institutions and international organizations, thereby promoting academic exchange, scientific research, and cultural exchange.

Bridge for global integration:

Serving as a focal point connecting the University with the international academic community, contributing to enhancing HUIT’s position and reputation within regional and global education systems.

2. Responsibilitie

To effectively fulfill the above functions, the International Institute undertakes the following key responsibilities:

Developing and advancing high-quality training programs

Designing and updating curricula in accordance with international standards, ensuring practicality, modernity, and alignment with global labor market demands.

Managing and supporting students

Organizing admissions, managing training processes, and supporting students throughout their studies, especially in international transfer programs, study abroad pathways, and student exchange programs.

Expanding the international partner network

Proactively seeking, establishing, and strengthening cooperation with prestigious universities, research institutes, and educational organizations worldwide.

Organizing academic and international exchange activities

Implementing conferences, workshops, and exchange programs for students and faculty to enhance multicultural learning experiences and global competencies.

Providing study abroad and career guidance

Offering information, academic and career orientation, and supporting students in accessing scholarships, internships, and job opportunities in international environments.
